StudioThe new studio is a beautiful and serene space, the perfect place for starting your Yoga practice or beginning again ater taking time off. The bamboo hardwood floors and the aspen walls and ceilings bring nature into the studio. On nice days we practice with the French doors open so that a gentle breeze flows through. Before coming to your first Yoga class, come to the office on the first floor to fill out paperwork and determine payment options. While you're there, visit the "Relax" Boutique where you'll find everything for your relaxed lifestyle from Yoga and weekend clothing to aromatherapy spray; eye pillows to CDs and books plus much more. For directions please see CONTACT page. DescriptionYoga Basics – This class will concentrate on basic poses and stretches, with an introduction to sun salutations. Perfect for the new student who is already physically active or the more experienced student who prefers a slower pace. Yoga Flow – This flowing yoga class will link poses together and sun salutations will be used to warm up the body. More challenging than the Basics class, but still doable for the beginning student who is already physically active. Each class will be taught with a specific goal in mind, such as: opening shoulders, stretching hamstrings, etc. Yoga Flow Advanced – No classes scheduled at this time. This yoga class will be in a room heated to 85 degrees and will be 75 minutes in length. We will connect poses with sun salutations and will also work on more challenging poses. *This class is for Intermediate or Advanced Students. You should be comfortable performing the sun salutation series unassisted and be familiar with Ujjayi breathing. Yoga Nurture – This class is slow and gentle, especially good for the new student, particularly those with health concerns, who would benefit from detailed instructions and the slower pace. Pilates – We will warm up the body and then perform mat Pilates exercises, which will target the core (everything between the hips and the shoulders), plus legs and arms. We will finish with Yoga Stretching. Cardio Strength Fitness – A fast paced class that alternates cardio intervals with strength training. By using resistance bands, weighted balls, hand weights or a student's own body weight on the yoga mat or stability ball, muscles are strengthened and toned with a series of excercises. Will finish with stretching.
